About the Class: 

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY so you can TAKE CARE OF BABY.  Learn how to prevent injuries in your journey through early motherhood.

During this interactive workshop you will: 

  • Learn common risk factors for aches and pains in new parents

  • Intro to common musculoskeletal injuries in new parents

  • Get tips on joint protection strategies and tips for proper body mechanics with real-time  instructor feedback on positioning during breastfeeding, bottle feeding, diaper changes, picking up/putting down the baby, floor play, etc.  

What to bring:

Comfortable clothes and a bottle of water.  No additional equipment necessary. If you have any injuries or concerns you would like to discuss ahead of time, please email me at info@home-mama.com.

About the Instructor: 

Stephanie Wu is a perinatal mental health certified occupational therapist specialized in ergonomic assessment and has 10 years experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.

Stephanie is the founder of H.O.M.E. MAMA, a private practice dedicated to providing in-home maternal health support.  She offers in-home hand therapy services to individuals who have pain in their arms or hands during pregnancy or after giving birth; provides in-home ergonomic assessments and interventions to reduce risk of injuries from everyday childcare tasks; and provides holistic maternal health support to help moms adjust to this new phase of life. Stephanie is a mother of a boy (born May 2020) and a daughter (born May 2022).  She understands firsthand how demanding and overwhelming motherhood can be.  You aren’t in this alone.  Mothers Stronger Together.
